Delta Discovery Voyages Underway

The Delta Discovery Voyage began its winter program aboard the Research Vessel Robert G. Brownlee on Tuesday, Jan. 6.

The ship will depart Antioch Marina twice a day for the next two months providing a unique shipboard science experience for nearly 5,000 area fifth graders.

Interactive classes aboard the 90-foot RV Robert G. Brownlee stress water quality and Delta ecology.

The winter program is in addition to the 16 voyages that took place in September. During the school year there will be 90 voyages, a 20 percent increase over last year.
